The Central Washington Sentinel has posted video candidate interviews at http://www.centralwashingtonsentinel.com/ for candidates running for office in Kittitas County.
The candidates interviewed were:
Mayor of Roslyn
Kittitas County Commissioner District 1
Each candidate was asked to prepare answers to 12 questions specific to their offices, and their answers were recorded and assembled into roughly half-hour interviews. They were also given time to introduce themselves and give their reasons for running for office.
This is the first time that this type of interview has been made available to the public in Kittitas County. The Sentinel believes that by providing a continuously available statement of candidate positions, people will have time to view their candidates and reflect on their merits outside the messiness and predictability of the public dogfight that other forums fall into.
